Southern Economic Development Council honors authority

Hinesville – The Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC), the oldest and largest regional economic development association in North America with 750 members from organizations in 17 states in the American South, has presented the Liberty County Development Authority (LCDA) with an Award of Merit in the SEDC 2011 Communications Awards competition in the Annual Reports – Large Division category for the LCDA’s 2010 Year in Review.

“We are honored to receive a SEDC Communications Award for our Year in Review in the Annual Reports category, particularly in the Large Division where we competed with much larger communities like Amarillo, Texas; Baton Rouge, La.; Fort Smith, Ark.; and Tulsa, Okla.” states Ronald E. Tolley, chief executive officer for the LCDA. “Our Year in Review showcased our most significant accomplishments in 2010 and illustrated in a creative way why Liberty County is a place where companies, both foreign and domestic, can grow globally.”

The entries in the Annual Reports category were judged on graphic appeal, clarity of message, quality of information, positioning/differentiation, and format.
