Liberty Regional Medical Center:

  • Providing award-winning care through a range of specialized services, supported by continual enhancements like a recent $8.6 million upgrade program including a new 14,000-SF emergency department.
  • LRMC also operates a satellite clinic at the entrance to Tradeport East Business Center in east Liberty County. The clinic can contract with area industry to provide services such as drug testing.

Winn Army Community Hospital:

  • In addition to primary military mission, also open for treatment of civilian accidents as a Level IV trauma center with a two-story 44,000-SF emergency department.

Hinesville Veteran’s Affairs Satellite Clinic:

  • Providing care to more than 7,000 veteran patients annually with a complete spectrum of physical and mental health services.

With a mild climate, proximity to the coast and low cost of living, Liberty County is a great place to live and play. It is usually possible to play golf year round. Liberty is one of six saltwater Georgia counties. Its semitropical climate provides mild winters and warm summers.

Georgia’s Coast has world-class golf courses, parks and preserves, woodland and wildlife areas, and waterways ideal foroutdoor activities.

It is rare for daily high temperatures to drop below 32°F.

Out And About:

Liberty County’s coastal waterways and woodlands make it a prime location for outdoors enthusiasts, and programs and facilities made available through the Liberty County Recreation Department and the YMCA of Coastal Georgia’s Hinesville/Armed Forces branch provide opportunities to remain active.

Liberty County has two marinas, several public fishing piers and boat ramps in addition to hunting clubs. Dorchester Shooting Preserve, a 5,000-acre habitat for pheasant, duck and quail hunting, is adjacent to Tradeport East Business Center and has a world-class lodge. Hinesville also has a golf course where enthusiasts can perfect their swings.

The Liberty County Recreation Department operates 20 parks that feature public pools, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic areas and more. The department also offers sports leagues for all ages; children can participate in football, baseball and softball, cheerleading and Tae Kwon Do, while adult leagues include volleyball, soccer and softball.

For entertainment, area residents can catch new movie releases at the Hinesville cinema and hear live music at several restaurants. Recurring events, such as Blues & BBQ or the Small World Festival, bring together performers, vendors and restaurateurs to offer family fun.

Additional entertainment opportunities, such as theater, arts and music, are available in nearby Savannah.
